RFL extends return to play concussion period

19/1/2022

The Rugby Football League has announced that it will extend its return to play concussion protocols. The new rule increases a player's time on the sidelines from seven to 11 days following a concussion. The move comes following recommendations from the sports clinical advisory group.

This means that any player who suffers a concussion, in either training or during a match, can not play in another match for a minimum of 11 days.
